Which region do you need?
The card region has to match the region of the Apple Account that redeems it. A US card tops up a dollar balance and works only on a US account; the same holds for Türkiye and Russia.
- United States — $2 to $5, tops up a dollar balance
- Türkiye — ₺10 to ₺500 across 10 face values, tops up a lira balance
- Russia — ₽500 and ₽1,000, tops up a rouble balance

Why people buy small face values
Apple requires a balance of exactly 0.00 before it will change the country of an account. When a leftover is too small to spend — $0.17, say — a small top-up creates an amount that a combination of purchases can hit exactly, and the account can then be emptied properly.
